Sioux Lookout Anti-Racism Committee

Sadly, Lorraine Kenny passed away on January 14, 2010.  Lorraine has contributed much to our organization through her committed work with SLARC since its beginnings.  Lorraine is also known by many as dedicating herself to helping people of all ages to heal their lives.  Through her work with those who attended residential school, Lorraine made a great impact in not only encouraging people to share their tragic stories; she created a safe place to do so.  Through her work with parents and children throughout the North, Lorraine encouraged families to heal together despite the challenges they have faced.  In Lorraine's memory, her family has established the "Raising the Children" Fund.  Please send your contribution to the Sioux Lookout Funeral Home, Box 1449, Sioux Lookout ON  P8T 1B0.  The Board of Directors and staff of SLARC offer our heartfelt condolences to Lorraine's family at this sad time.
